Description: The Festival is a celebration of Wilmington’s exceptional artwork, gardens, rich history and culture during its five days of entertainment that includes: a parade, street fair, circus, concerts, pageantry, and all that is Southern.
Since its inception in 1948, the Festival has blossomed into an extended weekend celebration that attracts more than 300,000 people. The Festival is a non-profit civic organization and this year is sponsored in substantial part by its four (4) major sponsors: Progress Energy, Image Products, Wachovia Bank, and the Hilton Wilmington Riverside.
For more than 50 years, the folks of Southeastern North Carolina have been throwing the best party in the South and you're invited! There's something for everyone among our community's rich array of artwork, gardens, history and culture. Come join us!

Description: In addition to serving up the area's best chowder, this daylong event includes live music and the Kidz Zone which will have face painting, balloon art, giant inflatable slide and interactive science experiments performed by Mad Science of Coastal Carolina. There will also be fudge, hotdogs, funnel cakes, soft drinks and beer and wine for sale. (No coolers, no pets please!).
So come to the beach for the weekend and spend the day with us at this great party!

Description: Days at the Docks is the Holden Beach way to kick off the spring and the opening of beach season. With all of the food, crafts and music it is sure to be fun for the entire family. Special activities are also planned for the younger festival goers in the Kid's Area.
Days at the Docks features the World's Only "Bopple Race." You get to race your apple down the Intercoastal Waterway with hundreds of others. Starting by throwing them all from the high-rise bridge, the apple to the finish line first wins and the owner gets a special prize.
